Welcome to the start of the SWTGS 2020 Season which explodes into action with Captains Day being held at the outstanding links course - Burnham & Berrow Golf Club
A great choice Graham!
Being recognized as one of the finest golf courses in the UK (Ranked 28thby Golf World) and a firm favourite amongst our members, the course will provide a stiff test of golf, no matter what the weather! With well-presented greens that are true and quicker than most, they will undoubtedly prove a test of early season putting.
Thanks to the generosity and support of both members and the club, the cost of the day has been set an incredible £55.00 to include Coffee and Bacon Rolls on arrival, a two-course dinner and 18 holes of Championship golf (usual Green Fees £120.00) BUT numbers are LIMITED TO 24 PLAYERS.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so if you have already paid… Happy Days. If not: click here: https://www.swtgs.co.uk/plans-pricing
(If you require a Buggy, availability is limited so please call the course direct and book. The cost is £30.00)

18 Hole Stableford Competition to be decided by Graham Brunsdon
9 Hole Individual Stableford: Order of Merit
Order of Merit:
This is a season long competition that awards 100 points to the winner of the individual competition and reduced by 5 point per place, until the 20 Player receives 5 points.
Two events this season have been chosen as a “Championship Event” and points will be doubled.
Prizes:
On the day, the prizes will be donated by The Captain - Graham Brunsdon
It was agreed at the AGM, that cups would be awarded on the day instead of waiting until the end of the year.
So, if you were one of those winners last year, we will be contacting you in plenty of time to have the trophy cleaned and engraved before been brought along to the day.
Subs:
The annual membership fee has remained at £25.00 so if you have yet to pay, it would be appreciated if you could make that payment whether or not you can attend the Captain’s Day.
The subs help the cash flow as Clubs often want payment when booking so every little helps.
There are some great courses booked this year and if you haven’t had a look at the venues, see below. Please support as many venues as you can.

Wishing you all a very enjoyable SWTGS golfing season.
