New Season, New Courses, Great Golf,

A very Happy 2019 to you all and hopefully this winter will allow us to get in some much needed practice for the coming season.

This seasons schedule of events is particularly exciting as we are visiting some favourites from the past, tried and tested courses and some that many of you may not have played before that offer everyone a fresh challenge.

We start the season at a very quirky course played high on the Cotswolds that is built on chalk so very little chance of being rained off although we could always get snowed off. Painswick Golf Club is not a long hitters course but requires good postional play, Probably the strangest Par 3 your will ever play. (April 11 2019)

"Presidents Day" is next, so we will all get to see the brand new Club House that we know Bream members have waited so long for. Its very important that we support this day to show our appreication for Murray who has worked tirelessly for the Society for many years. (May 9th 2019)

"Captains Days" for our newly installed Captain Graham Brunsdon is at the Manor House Golf Club at Castle Coombe. This outstanding course is a must for everyone although the cost will be higher than the usual Society Rate that we pay, I have been assured by many members that the cost of playng this course is not a concern. (June 21 2019)

The fourth meeting of the season is held at an old favourite "The Kendleshire". What is certain, are that the greens will be fast and true and the food will be excellent. A popular course and I am sure that this meeting will be well supported by all our members. (July 12 2019)

Long Sutton is near Glastonbury and therefore in August should help us avoid heavy traffic jams on the Motorway. This course seems easy but has some very well place water hazards and tight doglegs to make this an interesting course to play. The club is very friendly and I am sure that everyone who attends will have a thoroughly enjoyable day. (August 9 2019)

Off to the Castle next, and an excellent course in Bath that is often overlooked by many. Sham Castle with views over Bath provides an excellent test of golf. This is another new addition to the Society and allows us all to play varied and fun courses. (September 12 2019)

The season ends back at Weston Super Mare Golf Club that was very supported despite the absence of both the Secretaries and Captains. Always popular I am sure that we will all have a fantastic time once again. (October 25 2019)

Finally Its that time for subs payments to be made to refill the Society Coffers. Good News is that the Subs remain the same as last year. I am currently obtaining the availability for shorts and these will be provided within the payment of your subs.

I look forward to seeing you all soon

Best wishes

Stephen Seymour
